“Wonderful new talent” – Jools Holland

Rich and resonant vocals that belie her age, Lucy Merrilyn stands on the cusp of a formidable career. Performing classic tunes of the worlds leading ladies of jazz, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Dinah Washington & Julie London to name a few.

The Lucy Merrilyn project brings elegance and vibrancy to the fore. Her sprightly, fresh interpretation of traditional standards guarantees to entice and dazzle — Ms Merrilyn is one act not to be missed.

Appearing as the guest vocalist with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Lucy is a rising star on the UK jazz scene, performing regularly at prestigious London and UK jazz clubs and theatres

In the summer of 2019, Lucy recorded Sometimes I’m Happy, her debut three-track EP featuring formidable UK jazz saxophonist, Dave O’Higgins, and Jools Holland’s bassist of 27 years, Dave Swift. ‘Sometimes I’m Happy’ is just a taster of what is to come from this rising young talent.
